Planview Customers Report Most Impressive Results in Aberdeen Survey

Improvements are the equivalent of one extra day per week per person

AUSTIN, TX — April 17, 2002 — Planview customers enjoyed an average resource utilization increase of 17.7% as a direct result of implementing Planview, according to a recent survey of users of Professional Services Automation (PSA) solutions by the Aberdeen Group. Out of the nine PSA vendors whose users were surveyed, Planview had the highest resource utilization increase (the survey average was 8.1%). "The main goal in PSA deployment is increased resource utilization, together with better financial management," said David Hofferberth, Research Director with Aberdeen who oversaw the survey. "Planview customers reported the most-impressive results we had in that category." Planview users also credited the vendor's streamlined electronic time and expense capturing for invoicing with reducing their billing cycle times by an average of 4.0 weeks, another high ranking for the survey (the survey average was 1.6 weeks). Reducing billing cycle times increases cash flow and improves profitability. Of other significance, the largest percentage of survey respondents were Planview users, who comprised both externally focused and internally focused IT services organizations.

Planview customers achieved their utilization improvements through integrated scheduling; reduced administrative processes; and improved knowledge sharing and collaboration.
