Planview Positioned in Leader Quadrant In 2005 Project and Portfolio Management Magic Quadrant

AUSTIN, Texas — June 29, 2005 — Planview, Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive IT portfolio management solutions, announced today that it has been positioned in the leader quadrant in Gartner, Inc.'s "Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management" published June 22, 2005. According to the report's authors, analysts Matt Light and Daniel Stang, vendors were rated on both their vision and ability to execute.

The report suggests that, "An improving climate for IT investments and the ongoing need for IT/business alignment continue to drive interest in IT project and portfolio management (PPM) strategies." This is shown in Gartner's Executive Program survey, which found that three of CIOs' ten priorities are tied to PPM. Two of the priorities listed were "delivering projects that enable business growth" and "linking business and IT strategies and plans."
