Austin, TX — December 18, 2007 — Planview®, a leading independent provider of enterprise-wide portfolio management solutions, today announced that it has been named a leader in the December 2007 Forrester Wave™ report, titled "Project Portfolio Management, Q4 2007." Planview was among the select group of companies invited to participate in this report, which rates vendors based on their current product offering, strategy, and overall market presence. Forrester evaluated 14 project portfolio management vendors across 95 criteria.

The report also states, "Since its inception in 1989, Planview has developed a loyal following of Fortune 1000 customers. With its roots in resource-centric work management offerings, Planview's software has evolved into an industrial strength comprehensive project portfolio management (PPM) tool with more than 500 customers and an adoption rate in excess of 20% for the most current version." Forrester employs a rigorous process to create a Forrester Wave. Highlights include generating a detailed taxonomy of product attributes, gathering and validating data, and creating the Forrester Wave graphic. The Forrester Wave also includes a spreadsheet tool that is designed for end-users to create their own shortlist based on their own particular needs. For every vendor, Forrester also creates a Vendor Scorecard, an assessment of the vendor's product or service.
