Abstract: In order to boost reporting performance and response times while maintaining software currency, Aetna originally designed a two-stage approach to migrate from SQL to Oracle and upgrade Planview 7.4 to Planview Enterprise 9.2. Yet challenges provoked Aetna to rethink its plan in order to more readily meet end user demand. What resulted was an efficient single-stage strategy that not only provided end users with immediate relief, but betterpositioned the company for the future. This presentation will highlight Aetna's revamped migration strategy and keys to its success.
