CHICAGO PMO 2.0 Leadership Forum Summary:

Chicago was the first stop on the PMO 2.0 Leadership Forum multi-city tour. One of the key points made by David Lee of BP in his presentation on "DCT's Journey in Project Management Maturity" was whether you are starting or evolving a PMO, you need to take incremental steps to reach your goals. Panelists from Shure, GH Consulting and BP offered expert comments on the business value of IT, is the business driving technology or is technology driving the business, the role of the PMO in change management and the PMO lifecycle.

BOSTON PMO 2.0 Leadership Forum Summary:

The next leg of the tour was Boston. Attendees were from notable companies such as ESPN, Main Street America Group and Staples. Aetna gave a presentation on the progression of their PMO from inception 5 years ago to todays responsibilities. Panelists from Aetna, National Grid and BCBS Rhode Island shared insights on the importance of culture and organizational adoption, support from executives and organizing change and accountability within the PMO and organization.
