When Planview Enterprise and Focal Point are integrated, business stakeholders and project managers can easily connect the output of prioritization processes to operational planning in order to ensure alignment of resources with priorities.

A business stakeholder inputs project proposals into Focal Point. Top priority proposals are then exported to Planview Enterprise. Using Planview Enterprise, portfolio/project managers can do additional optimization, including financial and resource planning. For proposals that are selected for implementation, additional detailed project planning and execution are done within Planview Enterprise. Status updates for the project proposals are exported back to Focal Point.
