The Best of Both WorldsPlanview OpenSuite for IBM Rational Focal Point delivers out-of-the-box interoperability between Planview Enterprise and Focal Point. This allows Planview Enterprise and Focal Point to exchange and leverage data, and to ensure consistency and accuracy of data between systems. When Planview Enterprise and Focal Point are integrated, business stakeholders and project managers can easily connect the output of prioritization processes to operational planning in order to ensure alignment of resources with priorities. A business stakeholder inputs project proposals into Focal Point. Top priority proposals are then exported to Planview Enterprise. Using Planview Enterprise, portfolio/project managers can do additional optimization, including financial and resource planning. For proposals that are selected for implementation, additional detailed project planning and execution are done within Planview Enterprise.
