Baylor Health Care System, Planview to Speak on Success in IT Governance in Healthcare Informatics Webcast

Industry experts will discuss power of portfolio management to drive better business decisions

Who

Nayan Patel, Corporate Manager of Portfolio Management, Baylor Health Care System

Nayan Patel, a 16-year veteran of Information Technology, currently serves as the Corporate Manager of Portfolio Management for Baylor Health Care System, Information Services. In this role, he is responsible for the project management and reporting tools, time reporting, and project governance. Mr. Patel also serves as a consultant for strategic business processes solutions for the healthcare system, which includes value model realization for the electronic health record and the executive portfolio management, and has developed departmental logical-physical work flows of all system interfaces for the Baylor clinical infrastructure.

Mr. Patel is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for DFW-HIMSS.

Terry Doerscher, Chief Process Architect, Planview

Terry Doerscher has more than 25 years of operational and consulting experience with process development, project and resource management, strategic planning, and program and PMO management in nuclear, engineering, and IT fields.

Since joining Planview in 1999, Mr. Doerscher has helped more than 100 different organizations deploy and use Planview products to effectively manage their strategies, assets, work, and workforce. As the Chief Process Architect for Planview, Mr. Doerscher is responsible for the Planview PRISMS™ Management Processes and Best Practices product and for coordinating its integration with Planview Enterprise software functionality. His deep understanding of unique challenges of knowledge worker environments, combined with his process discipline and engineering-inspired root cause analysis expertise, make Mr. Doerscher an influential contributor to the innovation of Planview within the industry and a trusted advisor to many Planview customers.

Mr. Doerscher's blog, Enterprise Navigator, explores the changing business management environment though an ongoing discussion on how technology and the changing face of business are evolving the PMO.
