Managing work on Android made easier with new free Projectplace app

As working anywhere through tablets and smartphones grows in popularity, Planview has today launched a free Projectplace app for Android for project collaboration and work management.

The new app enables users to seamlessly manage all their work tasks and collaborate with their teams across their devices, creating a virtual workspace. The Projectplace app uses the Kanban approach to work management, where tasks are clearly visualized through cards in different columns to represent workflows of projects and progression of tasks. The approach suits both projects and ongoing workflows by providing a real-time overview of progress and bottlenecks. Tasks are assigned to team members and every member has visibility over who is owning which task. The app will be free for up to five project members and users can sign up even if they don’t have a previous user account on Projectplace.

“We’re excited to introduce a new best in class work management experience to Android users, demonstrating our commitment to drive innovation in project collaboration tools,” said Per Wising, Director of Project Management at Projectplace, “With the Kanban-powered visualized workflow, new users can get a well-deserved productivity boost. Previous users continue just as they always have, while gaining instant access on Android devices to all their projects and files while on the go.”

The app will also be integrated with popular file-sharing services, such as Box, Dropbox and Google Drive. All files can be shared, edited and connected to specific tasks on the Kanban boards through the app.

The Projectplace app for Android can be found here in Google Play.
