Planview Recognized as a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications
2015 marks fifth consecutive year company has received this recognition
AUSTIN, Texas – November 30, 2015
Planview® has achieved a position in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2015 Gartner “Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis (IIPA) Applications,” published on November 30, 2015. This marks the fifth consecutive year the company has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for its Planview Enterprise® product.
According to the Gartner report, “Driven by digitalization, the IIPA software market, which helps IT address complex portfolio-level decision making, is showing marked signs of growth. As CIOs and business managers realize the value of IIPA, they are buying the software to facilitate it.”
“Planview continues to move forward in fulfilling the vision of helping technology and business leaders realize their resource potential through utilizing a broad range of portfolios – including products, applications, investments and services,” said Planview Chief Product Officer Patrick Tickle. “With Planview’s acquisition of Troux, we are enabling a more fully integrated IT portfolio connecting strategy and execution to optimize business results.”
IIPA software provides an integration of individual portfolios – for example, investments, projects, assets, capabilities and IT services – in order to present insights into the state of an organization’s IT portfolio. Integrating these views enables IT leaders to see the cost, effort, technical complexity, feasibility and interrelated effects of a proposed change or initiative.
Gartner evaluates vendors on two main criteria: ability to execute and completeness of vision. This includes a multitude of areas, such as product/service, overall viability, customer experience, operations, innovation, business model, market understanding as well as having a strong strategy for product, marketing, sales, geography and vertical/industry.
Planview was also named a Leader in the May 2015 Gartner “Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management Software Applications, Worldwide,” by Daniel B. Stang, Robert A. Handler and Teresa Jones.
