Planview Recognized as a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications

Planview Enterprise recognized for sixth consecutive year

AUSTIN, Texas – December 9, 2016

Planview® once again achieved a position in the Leaders Quadrant of the November 2016 Gartner “Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis (IIPA) Applications.” This marks the sixth consecutive year the company has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for its portfolio and resource management solution, Planview Enterprise®.

According to the Gartner report, “By design, IIPA technology is dynamic portfolio management software built to enhance communication among different IT portfolio managers and with the CIO before IT changes are applied.”

“The 2016 installment of the Gartner IIPA Magic Quadrant represents a strong validation of our strategy over the past several years,” said Planview Chief Product Officer Patrick Tickle. “Our continued innovation with Planview Enterprise, synergies with Troux, and now with the addition of Innotas, demonstrates our commitment to IIPA and integrated portfolio management is greater than ever.”

IIPA software provides an integration of individual portfolios – for example, investments, projects, assets, capabilities and IT services – in order to present insights into the state of an organization’s IT portfolio. Integrating these views enables IT leaders to see the cost, effort, technical complexity, feasibility and interrelated effects of a proposed change or initiative.

Gartner evaluates vendors on two main criteria: ability to execute and completeness of vision. This includes a multitude of areas, such as product/service, overall viability, customer experience, operations, innovation, business model, market understanding as well as having a strong strategy for product, marketing, sales, geography, and vertical/industry.

Planview was also named a Leader in the May 2016 Gartner “Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management Software Applications, Worldwide,” by Daniel B. Stang, Robert A. Handler and Teresa Jones.
