Planview Appoints Vic Chynoweth as Chief Financial Officer

Software executive to lead finance, human resources and corporate development

AUSTIN, Texas – May 27, 2015

Planview® today announced the appointment of Vic Chynoweth as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, Chynoweth will serve as a strategic partner to chief executive officer (CEO) Greg Gilmore and lead a variety of management functions, including financial planning, accounting, human resources and corporate development.

Chynoweth is a seasoned finance and operations leader with more than 15 years of experience in the enterprise software and technologies industries. Serving both private equity and publicly held companies throughout his career, he has developed deep expertise creating and implementing strategic plans, managing finances, integrating acquisitions, and optimizing operations and processes for scale.

“Vic has a very strong background in enterprise software including experience in M&A, large scale software integration efforts, general management and operational scaling,” said Greg Gilmore, Planview CEO. “Planview is the market leader in a double digit growth space with a multi-faceted growth plan, exemplified most recently by last week’s announcement of the acquisition of Troux Technologies. Vic’s leadership has already been invaluable in helping us continue to expand globally and grow our product portfolio and revenue.”

Prior to joining Planview, Chynoweth served as vice president of finance and accounting at Vertafore Inc., a TPG owned enterprise software company, with responsibilities that spanned finance and accounting, pricing, sales operations, enterprise applications, and corporate development. He worked closely with Vertafore’s CEO and broader executive management team to refine the company’s strategic direction, establish long-term goals and transform priorities into operating plans with financial and non-financial metrics against which the business could be measured. Previously, he served as vice president and treasurer for Cray Inc.

“Joining Planview presents a unique opportunity to work at a company where the product set parallels one of my career-long operational objectives: resource optimization,” said Chynoweth. “Furthermore, the recent Troux announcement, in addition to the Projectplace acquisition almost a year ago, demonstrates a commitment to strategic growth, and complement to strong organic growth. I look forward to leveraging my experience scaling cloud-based software companies to further position Planview for continued growth.”

Chynoweth has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
